About me

In 2010 I moved from beautiful, rugged Yorkshire to beautiful, gentle Oxford. Since then, I've been trying to explore as much as possible with my eyes and heart as open as possible to everything there is to see.

I've always adored writing, whether it's awful poetry when I was an angsty 16-year-old, or letters to friends far away (my handwriting leaves a lot to be desired), or, as I am lucky enough to do, creating content as part of my job. But I don't make enough time for it, hence starting this blog.

I really love reading, particularly the classics, fantasy and crime fiction. I've got the entire Poirot collection in my spare bedroom. In fact, I love crime fiction in any format; Paul Temple audiobooks are the soundtrack to all bus journeys and I've watched every Inspector Morse episode at least twice.

I've been vegetarian since 2011 after meeting my now husband and much of our time travelling is spent hunting down the best (or, often, only) non-meat food we can find.

Oxford is the first place I've truly made a home for myself and I love it. I hope to share interesting tales from my city and other places I travel that will inspire you to visit there, too. I hope you enjoy my blog!
